Welcome to Fair Trade Fish. If you are tired of overpriced, mediocre fish at your local pet store, you are in the right place. We specialize in quality, ethically sourced freshwater fish at prices that are actually fair. Fish you probably may not have encountered before, sourced by people who care about where they come from and how they got there.

Fair Trade Fish was born out of years of experience in the aquarium hobby and a frustration with the way fish are typically sold. Long supply chains, questionable collection practices, and inflated prices have become the norm. We think hobbyists deserve better. Access to healthy, interesting fish at prices that make the hobby accessible to everyone.

We are a small operation and typically carry around 10 to 12 species at any given time. Selection changes regularly based on availability and season, and quantities are limited. Every fish we bring in goes through an initial observation and quarantine period before being offered for sale, because we would rather wait and do it right than rush a fish out the door.

We also strongly recommend that all hobbyists quarantine any new fish before introducing them to an established tank, regardless of the source. We are hobbyists first and we love to talk fish. Feel free to reach out with questions or requests.
